Career Dropout Journey Begins

I am so tired of going to work each day, knowing that deep down I have a deeper passion that can lead me to a place where I can achieve my dreams. The thought of working a job for the next 35 years makes me sick to my stomach. I consider my cubicle at work my jail cell, I am told when I can come to work, when I can take a lunch break and when I can go home. I am physically at work each day, but my mind and my heart is somewhere else. In my eyes working a 9-5 job is a life sentence or a form of slavery. No matter, how much money you desire to make; you may not achieve the free things in life: like inner peace, happiness or quality of life. In my short career of 7 years and having 3 different jobs, I have not come across too many people that actually love their jobs.

I am so ready to declare myself as a “Career Dropout” and the first stop I made was NYC for my first professional photo shoot and various business meetings. If I am going to be a “Career Dropout”, it is time to transform myself into a “Corporate Rebel”.

So many of us are so afraid of the unknown and afraid of stepping outside of the box. Even though we think outside of the box, how many of us actually have the courage to step out. Well cousin, you do!!!! You not only stepped but stomped out, and not looking back. I love the title of you journey ” Carrer Dropout”. I know it is a new beginning of a new wave of freedom. So lead on, lead this generation and those to come, to a brighter and liberating future.

Career Dropout, Corporate Rebel… I LOVE IT!!! God has given you an awesome platform to do many great things and you have done an awesome job thus far. The other day I watched the movie Coco before Chanel which prompted me to write something on my FB page and couldnt help but to think of you as I typed and read it over again. “Dare to be different and stand out amongst the rest. Follow your heart and let no one tell you that you can’t. We all have something in us that God intends to use thats unique to our individuality…. #theresonly1u” I love you and it have been a pleasure to know the Kanika before AMADI but I am glad and honored to be able to watch this transformation. BTW your photo is GORGEOUS… You are sooo looking the part!

  9. Christy says:

This definitely hits home Kanika. Kudos to you for taking more steps in accomplishing your dreams! You’re quite the inspiration!!!

  10. Cherise Parker says:

I congratulate you on your move for inner peace, and like they say you have to “love” what you do or you will be unhappy. My question is do you have a career goal? Once you drop out, what are your plans to be successful?…To be a rebel is to have a “cause”.. Much love and respect on your path, may you conquer all obstacles and be a success!

I love this movement and I’m definitely in. I have already decided to map my plan. Just let me know when the tshirts are ready, LOL. I can’t wait to follow in your journey with lots of questions for my own. I have despised to work environment for so long and was just speaking this morning to a friend about working like a slave for someone making them rich while still counting pennies. I refuse! I’m stepping out and following my dream and using my talents to reach at least one person with my words, stories or portrayal of someone else’s journey. Whats the point of having talent if your not going to use it, right? Thanks for that extra push I needed to find the courage that I needed to walk out on a limb, and Congrats on your path to happiness!
